The First MANUTE'S WORLD SERIES OF POKER took place on Friday October 8th.The game ($50 buy in) was smaller then expected with 8 players. The roster included Nick Botticelli, Rich Santos, Paul Santos, Kevin Regan, Bill Thomson, Dave, Brooke Botticelli and Joe Walsh. The 1st hour saw a lot of cautious play till Nick called and All in, Joe and Rich both called. Nick was the low man in chips so the rest of the chips went into the side pot for Joe and Rich. Nick won the hand with a pair of Aces and Rich bowed out. Joe was left with a few chips and couldn't get back into the a good position. Rich bought back in and was able to hang on for a while till he was knocked out again. Joe, Brooke, Kevin and Rich were the 1st four out and went to start a smaller $20 table.
     The game continued seeing Paul Santos falter, followed by Bill. Which left Dave and Nick head to head both with about 6,000 chips. The blinds were increasing rapidly and each man played a game of cat and mouse folding almost every round before the flop. When the blinds finally reached 800/1600 Dave made the all in call. After a couple of minutes debating Nick called Dave. Dave flipped over a jack - ten off suite, Nick flipped over a queen - 9 suited. Luckily for Nick neither player matched a card and Nick became the first WSP champion.
